Charles Worth (Chuck) Witters (February 7, 1946-December 25, 2018) Born in Charleston, Witters attended the EIU Buzzard Lab School and Charleston High School. He graduated from EIU in 1968 with a bachelor's Business. At the university he was a member of the Tau Kappa Epsilon fraternity. After receiving an MBA from Illinois State University in 1970, Witters pursued a career in the petroleum industry and the commercial real estate sector. He was a member of the EIU Foundation Board of Directors and the EIU Capital Campaign Steering Committee. In 2010 Witters was named an Executive in Residence with the Lumpkin College of Business and Technology and that same year was recognized as an EIU Distinguished Alumnus.
