Ruth Lucretia Weakley Kellam (September 11, 1920-July 26, 2003) was a graduate of Eastern Illinois University and taught art for 27 years. She retired in 1979. In 1943 she married William E. Kellam (November 4, 1921-May 11, 2008). William Kellam held degrees from the University of Illinois and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He served in the army in the Second World War, reaching the rank of Captain. Kellam co-founded the architectural firm Kellam & Foley.
