A son of Glenn Dale and Irene Melba (See) Brasel, Ned Gwynne Brasel was born in Hoopeston, Illinois, on February 1, 1928. He was was a radiologist for U.S. Public Health Service and an Army veteran. He died in Bowling Green, Kentucky, on May 4, 2010.
